SECOND CAREER FUNDING
The Government of Ontario is helping laid-off workers get back to work through the Second Career Program launched by the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities (MTCU). Consequently, you could receive up to $28,000 for,
- Tuition fee,
- Living allowance,
- Childcare, and
- Disability support.
You could qualify for Second Career when:
- You are a Canadian Permanent Resident or a Canadian Citizen, and
- Your employer laid you off, and you are currently not working, or
- you have been laid off and are working a temporary job to cover costs.
If you’re receiving Employment Insurance (EI), or have in the past, you could still apply.
